Will the difference in base attack bonus hurt us badly enough later?

Scoundrel actually looks like another very good option instead of Soldier for starting class. But I played around with this game a bit and got thinking about some things that might lead to someone beating either of the current runs. Thread title: Understand that I'm at nowhere near the skill level needed to beat either of the runs on Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Will come up with more as I play this game more extensively with this setup. =I wonder - before getting our own force powers, and maybe even afterward, wouldn't detouring for a bunch of Adrenal Alacrity items help? It gives a speed increase of about 20% for two minutes each time one is used, so using enough would probably make up for any detours we actually take. In my opinion, the Sentinel just doesn't give enough either way to help us.

=The right Jedi class? I'm not sure whether it's Consular (for the fact that it's the only Jedi class with all three of our key skills as class skills, plus the large number of force points) or Guardian (who is much better at combat and has more feats, but may not have enough force points for our needs). =As far as feats - aside from Dueling and Critical Strike, I recommend Toughness as the other one to progress. =Here's my big question - can skill points be held in this game and spent more optimally later? If so, I recommend that. I understand we're going to be short on skill points from levelups. =As far as skills? Computer Use, Persuade, and Treat Injury are fine - if we're going to get a point in Security, it should be at the second experience level. I suggest high Strength and Charisma otherwise, giving a passing glance to Wisdom and ignoring either Dexterity or Constitution altogether. I instead recommend Soldier - the only concrete thing I can think of as far as ability scores is having Intelligence at 14 (which will get us 12 skill points). =With this in mind, Scout is not the starting class of choice. I'm pretty sure it does, though, and your extra attacks will be coming from the variations from the Burst of Speed force power.)

(I will admit, I don't know whether Critical Strike affects ALL attacks in a given round. Plus, with Master Critical Strike, I believe a normal lightsaber has a whopping 40% chance of a critical. Why? Using Two-Weapon Fighting and/or Flurry reduces the chances of hitting the enemy (however slightly by the time both are mastered), whereas Dueling raises your chances of hitting. Basically, we're talking maxing out Dueling and Critical Strike during our feat progressions. =For the overall build, in the slight amount of time I've tried this setup out, I can attest to the power of a duelist using Critical Strike (the essentially same setup as the KotOR II run).
